Re: Your planned visit to Ecuador
Introduction
The aim of this report is to recommend the Yasuní Park, as a place for you and your friends to visit while staying in our country.
As it is the most biologically diverse region of the world, and this will be of interest to you and your friends.
Background
Yasuní National Park hangs on the north – east of Ecuador, in the Amazon Region, in the provinces of Orellana y Pastaza.
In 1989 the Yasuní National Park became part of the World Biosphere Reserve inside the Man and Biosphere program of the UNESCO.
In 1999, part of the park was declared as "Intangible Zone. " These are protected areas of exceptional cultural and biological importance which can not be any kind of activities, for its environmental value, not only for the region, but for the country and the world.
Attractions for your group
Yasuni has a wide range of tree plant, considered the most diverse of the world, is estimated that in the Yasuni could have some 2,244 species of trees and shrubs.
Yasuni is one of the most diverse places of birds in the world, where there have been 567 species. Protects about 40% of all mammal species in the Amazon basin.
Added to this is the area with the highest recorded number of fauna in South America, with 105 species of amphibians and 83 species of reptiles. And an immense diversity of freshwater fish 382 species and over100 000 species of insects per hectare.

Practical Information
Is necessary to contact a local or national tour operator, which is responsible for carrying out the proper permits for entry to the park and should provide the necessary logistics for the trip.
